Step 3 - Complete Online Requirements

Click on the tabs below to learn about the different sections of the Learning Center you will find in your re-certification course.  Once you have completed the online requirements,The Instructors will review your course and issue your new 2021 badge..

If you are re certifying as a Regional Referee, there are additional steps required. Please contact Roger Brown (sra@wyomingsoccer.com) to schedule fitness test, and review assessment requirements.

Course Details

As you can see from the screenshot, this tab has the basic information about the course.  What is required, who the instructors are, and the basic path you need to take to complete your recertification.

Group Members

This tab will have a list of the course participants, as well as the instructors.

Here you can see  their profile and find out about the people you are sharing your class with.

Resources

The Resources tab will have links to downloadable resources for you to use during the course, as well as being available for you to come back after completing  the course for reference.  Items Ike the current Laws of the Game, profile of the referee certification you are taking, standard of dress (uniform), etc. can be found here.


Assignments

The Assignments tab is the main location  where you will spend your time while doing the online portion of the course.  It wil contain an outline of the required steps that you need to complete to become certified. (See image for example).


For each of the items, it will show your progress, and you can click the "Open" link in the lower right corner (Outlined in Red) of each item to view that particular item, and work on the assignment.  


All assignments must be completed and passed before you are able to attend the field session that is the final step for certification.  The online portion of the Grassroots certification will take approx 6-8 hours in total for adults, and 4.5-6 hours for youth. Plan your time accordingly so that you can have the assignments completed in time for your field session.


If you are having challenges, please contact your instructor using the communications tab to get assistance with whatever the challenge may be.

Library

The Library tab may have links to videos and other items for clarifications of course material.


Content on this page is dependent on the course being taken, so do not panic if there is no content on this tab. It may be that there is not a need for supplemental information For your course.

Communication

The communication tab will be used by instructors to contact students to pass along info  or make sure that things are gong ok.


It is also a tool that our studets can use to safely reach out to instructors wth their questions.  This is the primary and only communication method that instructors willl use to communicate with students for the online portion of the course.

Evaluations

The Evaluations tab will show you and your instructors your current progress through teh required modules.
